I work in PDN #physiology at #cambridge University. I do a bit of #running and a few #marathons (PB 2:45). I am a keen #cyclist. I run crplots.com I dabble in all things #Pi and #Pico but prefer #PHP and #javascript to #Python. Had an online view down my microscope in 1992 but the web was a lonely place back then....

#chatbot #openai #physiology #teaching #University Chatbot is a fantastic tool for teaching. It generates a mixture of verbage, irrelevant information and self contradictory explanations that can be given to students to critique and discuss. It's brilliant for generating superficially impressive answers that are full of common misconceptions. If you haven't tried it, give it a go.
Watching the wood burn and I want things to change . Unfortunately the U.K. is freezing all because our govt has set things up for their sponsors . So many are burning wood.

Just caught a quick shot of the CBR building in Brussels on ProfessorT. It really would be cool if we had architecture like that on the science park. https://www.wikiwand.com/en/CBR_Building#Media/File:Belgique_-_Bruxelles_-_Immeuble_CBR_-_01.jpg

#rogueheroes is great, but why are they breathing in helium at the hospital in episode 1? I think it is helium as the voice goes up in pitch. Both oxygen and nitrous oxide, which are more likely gasses in a second world war hospital would lower the pitch.
What is going on with the #cambridge roof top shots in #professorT. They certainly aren't the Cambridge I know. It looks like an amalgamation of buildings from all over the place.
#hepworth #churchillcollege #cambridge in the rain - beautiful nevertheless.
Curve fitting - this needs to be shared here :-)

It's a very minor thing, but I nipped home at lunch as my wife is looking after our daughter's son (0.94 years old).

I balanced him as he stood on his feet, and then I let go. He stood there, with a slight wobble for about 5 seconds. My wife and I watched in awe. I quickly grabbed him again just as he was about to step forward. There is no way we could let him take his first step without my son-in-law and daughter present.

Exciting stuff! And, so life goes on....

@nicolaromano Now I am interested! I took a quick look at the review you posted. And now I have got sucked into pituitary gland sizes....age, sex and BMI all seem to play a role - but, I can't see an effect of exercise. Is chronic subordinate colony housing the main way of inducing stress experimentally? I guess chronic stress is what I am interested in. But, I don't know what is classed as acute and chronic in this field. Would stress applied progressively over 8 weeks be classed as chronic?
