My memory for names is absolutely shot lately. Trying to think of the name of this tech journalist - we had dinner with him once - he had a hilarious looking Pomeranian (whose picture I saved) and he knows Peter Stormare. But his name is an enormous blank and it's driving me nuts.

So if I forget your name, it's nothing personal. Words evade me a lot these days.

With the help of a chair near the stove, I managed to make some rice pudding today. It feels good to cook again.

I hurt now, but nothing a bit of heating pad and rest won't help. (And warm rice pudding)

A weird side effect of having been with a Brit for a decade is sometimes I still have Britishisms embedded in my head so hard I can't remember what I used to say. Just told someone we should have a "leaving do" before they move because I genuinely could not remember the phrase "going away party".

This sounds like a brag but it's just awkward.
