I want to give an update about my project #TinyBBS, a #Meshtastic #BBS that runs on the meshtastic firmware itself without an rpi. It is now NRF52 based. The NRF is a more lightweight and efficient.
The BBS has Email, bulletins, daily wordle, a pretty rich LORD style multiplayer RPG, survival skills, chess, QSLboard, and Airplane QSL Board. The BBS is about 70KB and I do a neat party trick to store knowledge files like a full 12k #wordle dictionary on the external flash.

“With iOS 26.4, Apple Family Sharing allows individual adult members to use their own personal payment methods for purchases, rather than being forced to use the family organizer's card. When Purchase Sharing is on, adults can set a personal card as default, with the organizer's card used only as a backup.”

Wrong way around, as “organiser” of family I want to say the others cannot use my card! It is my card so I should have the control not them, arg!

Am I being subtle enough?

This will be a brilliant paper on the evolution of cooperation between groups as exemplified by #bonobos and bottle nose #dolphins (they are not always nice, don't be kidded, selfish genes in action!)

Well this is the first time I think I’ve been genuinely bloody livid about an update because of iOS 26.4.

I don’t do credit cards, only debit, which is common enough in the UK, and none of the cards I input were enough to prove I’m over 18, despite the fact I purchased the damn phone, it’s tied to my Apple ID which has my birthdate, and since we don’t have ID cards and I don’t drive, my one method of verification (that being my passport) was not accepted.

As a result I cannot change some settings on the phone I spent my own money on….. What the actual hell is this utter fucking bullshit? Age verification laws strike again. Fan fucking tastic.

I was let to believe that pirates had a code. If there was any honor among pirates they would clearly mark their rips as "this is some AI-upscaled camrip bullshit with crypto-casino watermarks that you shouldn't bother downloading".

What a world.
