“With iOS 26.4, Apple Family Sharing allows individual adult members to use their own personal payment methods for purchases, rather than being forced to use the family organizer's card. When Purchase Sharing is on, adults can set a personal card as default, with the organizer's card used only as a backup.”

Wrong way around, as “organiser” of family I want to say the others cannot use my card! It is my card so I should have the control not them, arg!

Am I being subtle enough?

@revk That whole Family Sharing thing is paternalist. But I think payment methods still need activation?
@revk But... then the "family" may not be able to spend money on Apple stuff? You wouldn't want that, right? Right?
@revk It's also your phone, yet Apple holds control over it. Corporations willingly ignore consent.
