Happy birthday to Ed Greenwood!

Ed was born on this day, the 21st of Flamerule, and immediately began worldbuilding. By age 7, he’d named half the gods of Faerûn.

What a weird and unsatisfying finale #SquidGame had. It felt kinda meaningless, and also a bit disingenuous due to the obvious handover to a US-based sequel.

It’s a shame, but Season 3 didn’t do justice to the rest of the series.

And once again, the part with the “VIPs” is so cringeworthy I almost gave up watching.

Hey Germans, please come up with a word that means "the fear of typing `return` vs `shift-return` because you don't know which inserts newline and which sends the message"

The more I learn about Apple’s Liquid Glass UI, the more worried I become about the future of the operating systems. It feels so unnecessary and hyper-focused on aesthetics for the sake of aesthetics that some components are nearly unusable. It might be a transitional state to a better UI, but if it doesn’t improve significantly before launch, it’ll be the first OS update since 2008 that I skip.

Final Fantasy XIV’s english translation might be the worst I’ve ever seen in any game. It feels a lot like the translation team thought they could write better dialogues than the original.

It’s devoid of all nuance, changes the personality of many characters, omits important story bits, and even comes up with new information — a very poor adaptation that doesn’t respect the source material.

Thank goodness I can understand spoken japanese, as it’s possible to choose the original audio.
