Because of the nature of my work, I do a lot of reading. And as a result I got to where I am almost always wearing headphones. At least around my neck, often on my ears. And the weird thing is that it's gotten to where I feel something is off when I'm NOT wearing them. I understand those kids who have security blankets much better now.

I'm mostly a macOS user at home, but I also have a ridiculously beefy off-lease Lenovo Thinkstation P920 that I've had for a few years. It has dual 18 core Xeon processors in it, for a total of 72 cores hyperthreaded and 192GB of RAM...and today I found a use for all that power finally. It's going through 60TB of OTA recordings I captured and removing all the commercials from them. I will say this room is toasty and the fans are ramped up. #video #windows #ota

Well crap. #HVAC is busted. AGAIN. It's been off for months and now it's suddenly randomly turning on the blower motor and turning it off. When it turns on it will stay on for hours.
