We’re always fascinated by the interactions between our senior cat and 12-month old pup as they navigate their feelings about each other.’s presence. The dog would love to snuggle, but the cat is definitely in charge of what’s going to happen.
This morning we saw them once again attempt to share the couch at the same time. The dog’s chew toy lets her expel her nervous energy. Eventually, the dog jumped down and the cat sprawled out for a nap.
Spring #migration 2023 is gearing up with exciting signs of change in this northeastern US backyard. These are the few weeks where “worlds collide” and the early spring birds return before the dark juncos and white throated sparrows take off. Despite low migration activity, I’ve spotted chipping sparrows, an eastern phoebe, and just now a purple finch.
