Spring #migration 2023 is gearing up with exciting signs of change in this northeastern US backyard. These are the few weeks where “worlds collide” and the early spring birds return before the dark juncos and white throated sparrows take off. Despite low migration activity, I’ve spotted chipping sparrows, an eastern phoebe, and just now a purple finch.
Attaching a 33 second video clip of my bird feeder with house finches, chickadees and the purple finch, plus a red winged blackbird.
