Photo taken in Calgary's Prince's Island Park after 24 hours of constant snowfall. Moments earlier a chevron of ducks had winged their way overhead, which would have been perfect for the image. Lesson learned: a camera only counts if its in your hand.

"Wonderland"

Apologies for my dearth of posting recently: I've been sick for the last five days, with lingering acute bronchitis. But I'm on the mend now!

Taking photos in downtown Calgary during winter is challenging, as a photographer is often forced to wait for the low sun to peek through gaps between buildings to light a subject. In this case, I had to wait an hour for the "Wonderland" sculpture in front of the Bow Tower to be lit without sunlight bouncing off the curved glass facade directly behind it.
