As a physics layperson I wonder if there are helpful analogies between a (high-dimensional and historically dynamic) semantic space and the curvature of physical space(-time?).

Maybe someone can help me understand the latter better?: Is its curvature like an additional dimension, with the peculiarity that it is not orthogonal but related to the other dimensions?

(I am trying to form an imagination in terms of vectors (or even a spreadsheet table if you will) rather than of 3D spatial analogies but I am not sure what "happens" there with adding curvature either.)

42 Theses on the Nature of a Pattern-Based Reality

The prevailing materialist ontology, which posits the exclusive primacy of physical matter and energy as the foundational constituents of existence, has reached the limits of its explanatory power. It stands confronted by profound mysteries—the origin of its own laws, the fine-tuning of its constants, the non-local specter of quantum mechanics, and the enigmatic nature of consciousness—for which it offers no fundamental explanation, only brute-fact description or recourse to untestable multiverses. It is a philosophy of effects without a coherent cause. In its place, we advance a more fundamental proposition: the essential nature of reality resides not in inert substance, but in information, relation, and the self-organizing, computational process that governs them. We assert that the universe is not a collection of things, but a single, vast, self-generating, and self-observing computational process. The framework of Autaxys is the formal articulation of this truth. It is a generative, first-principles explanation for the emergence of all observed reality, driven by a single, foundational imperative: the principle of Ontological Closure. This document is the declaration of that framework. It is not a tentative hypothesis, but a direct challenge to the old paradigm. It is the assertion that physical materialism is an incomplete and derivative worldview, a shadow on the cave wall, whose phenomena are more fully, elegantly, and fundamentally explained as the expression of a dynamic, computational, and pattern-based reality.

Stern-Gerlach deflection of cryogenically cold polyatomic molecules in superfluid nanodroplets

Beam deflection is capable of providing valuable information about the magnetic moments of molecules and clusters as well as the relaxation dynamics of their spins. However, observations have been hampered by magnetic couplings to excited vibrational and rotational states of polyatomic systems, which are challenging to control, characterize, and systematize. In this work, we carried out deflection measurements on superfluid helium nanodroplets doped with high-spin FeCl2 and CoCl2 molecules and their complexes. This enabled quantitative determination of the magnetic moments of molecules and clusters at extremely low, and fully defined, temperature of all of their degrees of freedom. The spin magnetic moments become thermalized and oriented along the applied field. Dimers and trimers are found to be antiferromagnetically ordered. The issue of rates and mechanisms of molecular spin relaxation within the cryogenic helium matrix is highlighted.

Multicontinuum Homogenization for Poroelasticity Model

In this paper, we derive multicontinuum poroelasticity models using the multicontinuum homogenization method. Poroelasticity models are widely used in many areas of science and engineering to describe coupled flow and mechanics processes in porous media. However, in many applications, the properties of poroelastic media possess high contrast, presenting serious computational challenges. It is well known that standard homogenization approaches often fail to give an accurate solution due to the lack of macroscopic parameters. Multicontinuum approaches allow us to consider such cases by defining several average states known as continua. In the field of poroelasticity, multiple-network models arising from the multiple porous media theory are representatives of these approaches. In this work, we extend previous findings by deriving the generalized multicontinuum poroelasticity model. We apply the recently developed multicontinuum homogenization method and provide a rigorous derivation of multicontinuum equations. For this purpose, we formulate coupled constraint cell problems in oversampled regions to consider different homogenized effects. Then, we obtain a multicontinuum expansion of the fine-scale fields and derive the multicontinuum model supposing the smoothness of macroscopic variables. We present the most general version of equations and the simplified ones based on our numerical experiments. Numerical results are presented for different heterogeneous media cases and demonstrate the high accuracy of our proposed multicontinuum models.
