As a #niri user, I notice #hyprland is approaching the functionalities natively found in niri through Hyprscrolling.

As a Package Maintainer for @archlinux, I was involved in the removal of the malware that was distributed through the Arch User Repository (AUR) last month. Here's my blog post on this topic, detailing what happened, some things I learned, and how the malware worked:

I posted here a couple of days ago I was in the process of migration from #arch to #nixos with help of AIs. Interestingly I received a couple of comments as if I was doing something impure and not appropriate for such a ceremony. I can tell I'm almost finished with the job, I learned a lot, not only random syntaxes but good practices and avoided many pitfalls just because. I am also sure Im able to maintain my system very diligently in many aspects. I'm genuinely happy with the final result.

What is happening with #arch #archlinux right now? Both #aur and main archlinux sites down and they have been unstable during the past days (weeks?). People are talking about DDOS attacks but I don't know actually.
How you guys deal with gpg keys in #nixos ? Specifically, when replicating the system in a new machine, is there a pure declarative way to do that?

I decided to overcome the energy barrier which separates humanity and #nixos and I'm glad I did. It is fantastic.

I'm not a #linux novice at all but I would have give up in the first day in a pre-AI era. Without Gemini I'm not sure if I would have the time and energy to mess with Nix syntax.

I decided to try #nixos and I'm struggling with the configure.nix file in order to make #niri work. I'm end up with a black screen every time I start niri (gdm, sddm, greetd etc). Anyone could share a working configuration.nix with niri?
