Dear Company. My support for you is inversely linked to how much you try to contact me. I gave you a proxy email and if you try to email me your newsletter, weekly specials or other crap, I will nuke it without a second thought. I will not be reviewing your product, posting about you on social or signing up for texts. If I still use your product in a year, I might express mild support for it in conversation with an actual human. Your best strategy is to forget you ever knew me.

IN ADDITION TO HOW HORRIBLE THIS IS ON EVERY OTHER LEVEL, DID THEY THINK A DISEASE SPREADING IN ONE PART OF THE WORLD WOULD HAVE NO IMPACT ON AMERICANS?

Very excited about the Harvard Map Collection’s forthcoming exhibition on xkcd and cartography.
I subscribe to Karl Schroeder's newsletter, and in today's he says "Progress is not our younger generations’ lived experience," and holy smokes does that crystalize and make clear a lot of things. It's dead-on.

Following Google Maps directions in rural Tasmania and encountered this sign.

Editing my #ArcGISServer layers from #QGIS is *usually* a wonderful experience, but for anyone looking to do the same:

1. Run "force right-hand-rule"
2. Run "repair geometries"

Use Q's incredible "edit in place" mode in the processing panel.

Now you can edit!

No idea why, but my #Esri layers routinely have invalid geometry that must be fixed before edits from Q will go through.
