When Soviet Youth Bootlegged Western Rock Music on Discarded X‑Rays: Hear Original Audio Samples

A catchy tribute to mid-century Soviet hipsters popped up a few years back in a song called “Stilyagi” by lo-fi L.A. hipsters Puro Instinct. The lyrics tell of a charismatic dude who impresses “all the girls in the neighborhood” with his “magnitizdat” and guitar. Wait, his what?

First short story for the new year!
Lawn Story: https://fiction.nwale.id.au/stories/lawn-story/
As a matter of spite, Stephanie Pedilla refuses to cut her lawn ever again!
About 3921 words.
Includes poison frogs, carnivorous pseudo-dandelions, and crayon wasps!
This was so good. Funny, deeply moving, wildly imaginative, and artistically superb.
I hope it gets an audience outside of Australia.
