Was watching Youtube Matttt's video about Western influences on manga (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U676rFdMUVc), when I heard him mention that influential manga artist Kitazawa Rakuten (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kitazawa_Rakuten) was mentored by Aussie Frank Nankivell!

He was from Castlemaine in Vic.

Unfortunately, there's not a lot of info on his Wikipedia page

Lawn Story: https://fiction.nwale.id.au/stories/lawn-story/

About 3921 words.

Includes poison frogs, carnivorous pseudo-dandelions, and crayon wasps!

Lawn Story — Wild Anomalies

This was so good. Funny, deeply moving, wildly imaginative, and artistically superb.

I hope it gets an audience outside of Australia.
