I support free software, paying developers and artists properly, working for the good of everyone and in general, being in this together.
I prefer to keep my medical, conversational and everything else history private unless I choose to share something. Why should I allow a business like Google or even a secure system with a government backdoor to use my information.
Unless you are not paying attention, American politicians, businesses and organizations use information to attack, not employ or brush off their rivals just like any other volatile nation would.

"Do you have something to hide?" is a manipulative rebuke to those that use #encryption.
It would help us all turn this conversation around. Because, the answer is: YES, we do have something to hide.
Things that we should hide, and must question why a government or business NEEDS access to:
- Medical history.
- Sensitive conversations with employers, children, spouses.
- Billing and banking information.
- Purchase information.
- Web search history.
