NFDI4BIOIMAGE is a consortium of the National Research Data Infrastructure (NFDI) in Germany
👏 Data collected at #TiM2023 and #TiM2025 is now publicly available!
Back in 2023, an OMERO-based framework was presented by @i3dbio at the Trends in Microscopy conference to collect and annotate microscopy data generated during workshops and demonstrations.
This year in March at TiM 2025, the concept was presented again and extended, supported by the @nfdi4bioimage data steward team.
For more information on the data collected, see our latest blog post:

We are happy to announce that @nfdi4bioimage will be represented at #CoRDI - the 2nd Conference on Research Data Infrastructure - with several posters and talks.
Registration for the event is already open and we would be delighted to discuss our favorite topics with you on site at @rwth, from August 26 - 28.

🌟 #MeetOurDataStewards: Why does #DataManagement matter? #1: Ksenia Krooß 🎥

Ksenia Krooß shares:
🔹 It keeps your research organized
🔹 Good #Metadata helps your future self and others
🔹 Sharing data accelerates science for everyone

Don’t treat data management as an afterthought—reach out to your local #RDM office or #NFDI initiative for support!

📍 Meeting of the NFDI communicators on 4 and 5 June in Mannheim!

Two intense days full of exchange, hands-on impulses and collaboration around our common topics.

Many thanks to all participants of the NFDI consortia for their committed input and productive cooperation! 👥💡

As #OMERO continues to serve as a powerful research data management system, the #bioimaging community is increasingly working with large, complex multimodal datasets that present new visualization challenges. To meet this growing need, Michele Bortolomeazzi, Christian Schmidt and Jan-Philipp Mallm at @nfdi4bioimage have developed a new OMERO-web plugin: OMERO-vitessce.

Today at #ELMI2025, @joshmoore presented the #Bioimaging community's immense efforts to pave the way to OME-Zarr 1.0 - Stable cloud-readiness for bioimage data is getting real.

The slides of his talk "The road to OME-Zarr 1.0: A FAIR future for bioimaging" are available in Zenodo:

@GerBI

The first poster session of #ELMI2025 which took place on Helix A last night, provided an ideal setting to exchange ideas with friends and colleagues about #bioimaging and #rdm.

Exciting projects were presented by @nfdi4bioimage including OMERO-vitessce and the IO-FAST initiative. Our data stewards were also on site, ready to offer advice on bioimaging #datamanagement.

Today, we will continue with talks, workshops, and the second poster session. We look forward to more inspiring talks! 🔬
