A snowy Belas Knap on the edge of the Cotswolds for #TombTuesday. A restored chambered long barrow, it's a brilliant example of a Neolithic Cotswold-Severn long barrow dating from around 3000 BCE, with horned forecourt and false portal. Remains of 37 individuals were found in the various chambers when it was excavated in the 19th century.
An image of some snow-caked silver birches from a local nature reserve last week.
It’s that time of year where some find it difficult. Perhaps it brings back memories of a lost loved-one, a relationship that didn’t work out, money or even a situation that’s affecting you at work. It’s okay to not be okay.
I hope you have a great start to the week, but if you’re not, there’s always someone willing to listen.

A riparian space,
where life rippled the shallows,
waters rose and fell meters in the hours,
where fragments got graded and sorted,
where organic debris fell and made home for freshwater life,
where reflections could be larger than self,
an intricate fabric of nature,
where our vital sprit dwells.

With each new surge of Mastodon users, I feel the need to point out:
1. Welcome!
2. There is a learning curve here, but most people find it short and not very steep. Play around, explore. You'll get it.
3. Lots of people are willing to help.
4. Yes, it's different than Twitter. Sometimes in good ways, sometimes not. But you'll figure it out.
5. With surges especially, things sometimes get slow/glitchy, but they usually get fixed pretty quick.
Be patient.
