There is a detailed 18 video on the changes to #Question Bank that will be in #Moodle 5.0. It also covers general tips on using the question bank It was created by Rick Jerz, a long time contributor to the forums at Moodle.org.

In feudal times, the rich didn’t pay taxes and the peasants worked until they died. Now, the rich don’t pay taxes and the peasants work until they die—but at least you have Netflix!
I'm glad to announce the release of version 2.70 of #snac, the simple, minimalistic #ActivityPub instance server written in C. It includes the following changes:

Notifications are now shown in a more compact way (i.e. all reactions are shown just above your post, instead of repeating the post ad nauseam for every reaction).

New command-line option unmute to, well, no-longer-mute an actor.

The private timeline now includes an approximate mark between new posts and "already seen" ones.

Fixed a spurious 404 error in the instance root URL for some configurations.

This release has been inspired by the song The Answers to the Questions by #Christabell and #DavidLynch.

I've had a lot of people ask how BlueSky compares to Mastodon and the Fediverse. I've tried to make the answer as simple and easy to understand as possible:

🦋 BlueSky is designed to give corporations and wealthy people full control of the network. All of its traffic has to flow through expensive-to-run corporate relays.

The Fediverse is designed to give ordinary people control of the network. All of its traffic flows directly from one cheap-to-run server to another.

We just shipped a major update to the https://loops.video website, in preparation for the app release!

We will resume sending account onboarding emails this weekend with everything you need to get started using Loops 🤘

Ghostty going 1.0 soon! I have been beta testing for a few weeks, and it is unbelievably fast, complete, and polished terminal. Much better than equivalents that have been around for years. Give it a chance if you use macOS or Linux! https://mitchellh.com/writing/ghostty-is-coming

#linustorvald had some particularly fun comments with respect to #russia #linux kernel maintainers. While I'm sure the individual maintainers are reasonable people (at least as far as kernel maintainers go), removing an avenue for Russia to inject nefarious kernel code (by way of force on these maintainers) is a net positive. I hate that we have to do such things, but it's the reality of where we are.

Linus Torvalds Comments On The Russian Linux Maintainers Being Delisted

Following yesterday's news first featured on Phoronix of several Linux driver maintainers being de-listed from their maintainer positions within the mainline Linux kernel over their connections to Russia, Linus Torvalds has today commented on the matter.

(Non.)
