Seeing my partner plan a journey across just three countries makes me constantly shake my head. #EU, listen up, this should be your priority:

- Force rail companies to provide a unified booking experience, so the journey can be planned from start to end on a single platform (no Interrail is not there, yet)
- Make all involved rail companies liable for my journey - if one train is late, that should not be my problem, but replacement services should be provided with no extra cost
- The result of the booking process must be a single electronic ticket (with an option for a physical one) that just works
- Ban short trips by plane and make it mandatory to tax jet fuel, improve rail services with that money

I think that's very reasonable.
