šŸš€āœØ Review: Last Chance to Save the World (Chaotic Orbits #3) by Beth Revis āœØšŸš€
āļøāļøāļøāļøāļø

Beth Revis became one of my fav authors the moment I read the first book in this serie (Full Speed to a Crash Landing šŸ˜) and I’ve been lucky enough to ARC read each book since then.

This is a quick series, but there’s a lot to sink your teeth into with each book. The fast-paced storyline rushes you at top speed through space and back to a futuristic Earth—one that’s slowly being ruined by billionaires. (Why does that sound so familiar? šŸ¤”)

Last Chance to Save the World picks up with Ada and Rian trying to stop a corporate-controlled disaster from ruining Earth. Their dynamic is still perfection—flirtation, rivalry, and just enough tension to keep things interesting. I especially loved getting to meet Ada’s mom and seeing Ada finally make progress on what she’s been working toward for three books. And of course, her outsmarting Rian never gets old.

I finished it thinking, Wait… is there a book four? The ending felt more like a cheeky cliffhanger than a wrap-up, and honestly, I’m hopeful that we’ll get more of Ada and Rian in the future.

This series has been an absolute blast, and I’d recommend it to any sci-fi reader who loves fast-paced adventure, a little romance, and characters who are always one step ahead—until they’re not.

For the full review, please check it out on my StoryGraph, Fable, or Goodreads.

Thanks to @bethrevis , @dawbooks and @netgalley for the ARC! šŸš€āœØ

It’s a #Caturday kind of morning—icy, cold, and the kind of weather that makes staying in bed the only reasonable choice.

Honestly, between everything going on personally and the state of the country right now, staying under the blankets with my cats and some good books feels like the only thing making sense.

So, I’m curled up with these two troublemakers, and I’m so grateful for their ridiculous little antics always making me smile—along with Immortal by Sue Lynn Tan, which I’m absolutely loving, and The Tea Dragon Society, which has been on my TBR forever. I’m really glad I finally picked it up because it was exactly the comfort read I needed this week.

Full thoughts on these books coming soon!

Book Review ✨
Playing Flirty by Shameez Patel
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Okay, so, I'm not always a romance reader, but when I DO pick one up, Playing Flirty is exactly the kind I'm looking for! This book was the perfect mix of nerdy fun, tension, and chemistry—I was hooked from the first page. šŸ˜

The slow-burn romance and closed-door/fade-to-black spice kept the focus where I like it: on the relationship building. šŸ”„ The back-and-forth between the characters? Seriously good. And the nerdy vibes? OMG, a dream come true! Think video games, cosplay, Lord of the Rings…William, the gamer MMC, is officially my new book boyfriend. šŸ’•

The FMC is curvy, smart, and so relatable. Watching her find her footing throughout the story was awesome. Plus, the side characters were great! I also really appreciated the subtle South Asian representation—a nice touch!

This book is more than just a romance; it has some real depth and moments that stuck with me. I read it in one sitting—couldn't put it down! So good. šŸ’–

If you're into slow-burn, opposites-attract romances with witty banter, nerdy references, and just the right amount of spice, you HAVE to read Playing Flirty!

Thank you to the @shameezwrites, @readforeverpub, and @netgalley for the ARC. All opinions are my own.

One of my #2025readinggoals is to reduce the number of physical books I buy until I clear off my TBR shelf—but I’ve made exceptions fir thrifted or used physical copies of books I love and banned books for my collection.

Naturally, I couldn’t pass up these thrift store finds:

šŸ“š Hidden Figures by Margot Lee Shetterly — One of my favorite books and movies. Thrilled to have this on my shelf.
šŸ“š The Adventures of Tom Sawyer by Mark Twain — A banned book, so of course it came home with me.
šŸ“š The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner by Stephanie Meyer — Slowly but surely completing my Twilight collection.
šŸ“š Mala’s Cat by Mala Kacenberg — This was my one exception to the ban since I haven’t read it yet. It’s on the cat-themed TBR shelf I built for myself on StoryGraph, and for 99 cents, I couldn’t resist grabbing it!

I was at the thrift store with my sister, about to check out with my books, when she spotted a shelf full of creepy dolls—so of course, we had to investigate. At the bottom of the pile was a Madame Alexander Jo from Little Women. My sister and I share a weakness for leaving any Madame Alexander dolls behind—it just makes us sad. But I’ve been wanting to collect the these dolls for my themed Little Women bookshelf, so I had to grab her. Even though her face is a little bleached and she’s not in the best shape, I’m thrilled to add her to my Little Women bookshelf. Tortellini and Azlan are oddly fascinated by her too!
