The other day when I posted about my tedious method for removing fragrance from thrift shop clothes, I got a reply from a costumer who says that spraying rubbing alcohol or vodka on clothing will break down the oils that make the perfume stick.

Bonus: it kills the bacteria that makes sour laundry smell bad.

Lowkey obsessed with this show. Two teams of interior decorators kit out two identical rooms using thrift goods, given 2 days and a $2K budget. Some of their rooms are amazing.

They have an advantage in that they're thrifting around Fairfield and Greenwich CT,, whose throwaways are better than most. But still, it's impressive work.
