1) Leaving Twitter was super easy and super good for my mental health. Good riddance.
2) No one app has yet replaced it, and I find myself torn between Mastodon and Bluesky

Hitting Fox in the pocketbook doesn't work if they earn more from their lies thru increased cable demand fees than they pay out to the companies they've smeared.

The market isn't going to self-correct here. We need to find a way to actually stop the lies.

The reason Mastodon and the Fediverse is spread out on so many servers is it protects it from being taken over by anyone. Not even the richest can buy this place.

Centralised services like Twitter are incredibly easy to buy out. If you move from Twitter to another centralised service, sooner or later that will get bought out too.
