I realized it's not obvious that the simulation can be paused and executed step-by-step, at least not without checking the source code 😅 So, I added a little popup with key bindings (shown on ESC):

I've finally moved my gol-godot shader to the godot-experiments repo 🎉 It's Conway's Game of Life implemented as a Godot shader 😁

In the process, I've fixed some warnings and upgraded it to Godot 4.3 (I guess I should start using 4.5 soon ... )

I realized that something was missing on my website: tutorials! At the moment I only have 3, but that still counts 😜

Huh, it turns out Godot 4.5.1 uses UIDs instead of resource paths for PROPERTY_HINT_FILE variables in Project Settings ... The correct option to use paths is PROPERTY_HINT_FILE_PATH. Every day I learn something new 😊

Unfortunately, this means that GOAT will not work in Godot 4.5.1 out of the box 😞 (currently supported version is 4.3)

I've been on mastodon.social since I joined Mastodon. But I keep seeing articles that claim it's not a good place to be, and it's better to join other instances. What is there to be gained from a migration? Has someone already done it and can confirm that their Mastodon experience is now better?

So far, GOAT required a special directory to configure stuff like voice recordings and game state. I just finished moving all of these to Project Settings 🎉 This makes the configuration more clear, and it's the first step toward making it easily available in the main screen plugin 😎

At the moment, only inventory items and dialogue editor are there, but that's just the beginning 😁
