7-Zip is a free and open-source file archiver for Linux, Unix, macOS, *BSD & Windows. Recently they released version 25 which on Windows can now use more than 64 CPU threads for compression. There are no Ads or cloud registrations. It is a good app for everyone.

I can not fathom how a person can be both transgender and MAGA.

That's a special level of self hating cognitive dysfunction so outside the laws of common sense and reality, that it warps local time-space so that its head and its ass join together as a flesh bound Klein bottle.

Someone's kindness made me cry today.

My son's been attending a kids sewing class at a local fabric store.

The owner saw how much he loves it, and had offered to sell us a machine at a discount for him to use at home, but it was still out of reach for us financially. I told her we'd save up for it for Christmas.

Today she gave us that sewing machine free. She said she wanted him to be able to continue to sew at home.

Enabling his passion is such a priceless gift and I'm incredibly thankful.

As a 65yo, I have achieved a certain hard-earned wisdom that may have eluded you. I will share:

1) Just get up and go pee, it's not goin' away.

2) Start the fitted sheet at the hardest-to-reach corner.

3) If you get a cold drink, only to discover that you already had one, drink the coldest one first.

4) Work and feel shitty, or don't-work and don't feel shitty. Don't-work and feel shitty is a lousy choice.

5) Being weird is, in fact, a perfectly normal thing to be. *Everyone* does it.

This is the hardest message I have ever written.

Does anyone in have a lead on a company that would be willing to sponsor a web development technical lead?

I am open to most Euro, Japan, and Oceania.

My German is bad. My Japanese is a bit better. I would love to get better.

It seems like things are going to be no longer safe for my family.
