This was one of the most amazing things I saw at the Seattle Asian Art Museum recently—this cube of intricately cut metal, lit from within, that turned the whole room into an artistic interplay of darkness and light. Casting all the visitors into the installation; shadows on the walls.

I like the fact that the signs in Cornwall say Beware The Gulls. As opposed to Beware Of The Gulls. Beware The Gulls sounds more ominous, more chilling, more 'these creatures are demonic, you are in grave peril'.

BECKY: You mean … Jesus …?

PAGAN GODDESS: I mean shagging, Vicky."

Not a perfect analogy, but I image that AI users are similar in that they forget how to look at things and just rely on the machine, rather than using the machine as a guide while paying attention to what they’re doing. Hell, people still die by just blindly following the gps down a supposed road that’s actually a cattle trail
The thing with AI users having their brain rotted reminds me of when gps units for autos first became popular. I was working an upgrade ant for lunch, a bunch of us piled into someone’s car (me in the back seat) and they set the gps to take us to a restaurant. After eating, we pile back in and sit there. “I need to set the site as destination”. I rattled off the reverse route off the top of my head and the driver was amazed. He paid no attention to landmarks, so he had no idea how to get back
