As a kid I grew up mostly with books focused on some great external evil force (Lord of the Rings) that heroes had to fight.

But I encountered a book series quite different, in which the evil force came from the inside.

Bad people getting government positions, years spent quietly changing rules, telling lies, causing fear. By the time the big bad guy showed up it was too late to defeat him from within

The heroes were the ones on the outside.

Feels very applicable to my country today.

Where the FUCK did all the hacktavists go? I seriously can't figure out why there's not more cyber push back.

If there were ever a time when it's moral to break the law it's now.

Why don't I see headlines about ICE being breached, or white house data leaked? Why aren't cronies like Musk and Banon being targeted?

The military is deployed in our streets, politicians are being arrested and shot.

What are we all waiting for?

Growing up my relationship with my dad sucked. At the age of 20 I couldn't imagine a world where I would ever want to be around him.

But people can change. He's a totally different man. He's caring and compassionate, he treats me with respect, and he opens up to me about what's going on in my life.

I can't express how grateful I am to have him in my life now.

Don't ever assume that it's too late to repair a relationship, you might be surprised.

I'm using Win11 in a VM for the first time and it's utter shit.

I installed python. But typing python into the terminal just opens up the FREAKING MICROSOFT STORE. Why would anyone want that behavior out of the box?!?!

Also, notepad of all freaking things keeps crashing. Yeah, after 20+ years they some how managed to screw up something as stable as freaking notepad.

Makes me glad I don't work in corp anymore, just independent bug bounties.

My spouse works over night shifts. We have a sign on our door CLEARLY asking people not to knock or ring the doorbell (with my phone number).

I'm so tired of people not reading the sign and ringing the doorbell anyway that I wired a switch into the indoor part of the doorbell. Now we can turn it on and off as we need.

It was either that or wiring it up to shock the crap out of them...
