It was gutting on Friday to see Governor Pritzker veto legislation that my friends worked so hard for. It originally passed with a supermajority of bipartisan votes in both chambers.
A bill backed by tons of union tradespeople, manufacturers, universities, and YIMBY advocates. Utter insanity.
DuSable Lakeshore Drive belongs to the people.
For a few minutes this weekend it was quiet and filled with joy!

It’s mind blowing how much this has grown. The city cannot ignore us anymore!

It’s time for Chicago to prioritize 10% of city streets for cyclists & kids who want to play in the street.
We will keep jamming until CDOT makes that reality.

I’m really over seeing posts of this same truck, doing the same incredibly dangerous thing! People have called, reported the truck, talked to the driver, etc and nothing has changed. This happens every damn week. This is 3:30p on a Friday!
