Naim and Wadee’a is a documentary short named after the grandparents of the film’s director, Najwa Najjar, who explores life in Jaffa before 1948, presenting a tender portrait of a film disrupted by an ethnic cleansing.

The moving film weaves together personal memories to depict a couple’s life before the expulsion and the enduring impact of displacement on their family.
