Guess what?
On Mastodon, your follower/follows ratio doesn't matter. No one cares about your #clout. You don't need to build a #brand.
If you follow a bunch of people it shows that you are curious and want to hear ideas from diverse sources. Go crazy with the #follows and the #boosts. The more the better.
But feel free to #unfollow if things get overwhelming. And use #Lists to put your follows into more manageable cohorts to see what a limited group of people are posting.
The first time on Mastodon that I'm flagging a new post on my #Brexit&Beyond blog!
Titled 'In the doldrums', it looks at ongoing rows over economics, the slow intrusion of reality, the stasis over the NI Protocol, Sunak's lack of a clear agenda, and the recurring constraints of the Tory Party.
Will the doldrums continue or will there be a new crisis? And which is the more depressing prospect?
All that and more here:

Over 320 #journalists on #Mastodon in 2 days and I know this list I'm helping with is very partial.

The vibe on #Twitter: "I am not paying Elon Musk a penny and will leave if it becomes subscription only."
The vibe on #Mastodon: "I will chip in to help the volunteers running the servers."
It feels more like a co-op than being part of a billionaire's evil plan. Which is nice.
