@lexolf
Count me impressed too - someone stepped outside MS Office and put a lot of effort into making this nice!

@gpollara wow, I didn't think they'd ever fix that!

And allowing leading zeroes too?
Amazing

It's a content filter basically that works since the formatting is consistent in the lead post vs following ones. I put a very short version here: https://mastodon.online/@marvelty/111206000214322725

Attached: 1 image @[email protected] @[email protected] I have lost the original, sadly, but it's not hard! I found using the Web interface over the app was easier, then settings --> filters, and the setup below. As long as the formatting stays consistent, this works a treat :)

(Edit to clarify: filters may be under "account settings" vs preferences, depending where you are coming from)
@pluralistic Sorry it seems you've been criticized for not being what someone else imagined! At some point, there was an explainer on setting up a filter to exclude pages 2-n of the longthreads from "home" ... this is the perfect balance for me, as I can still click thru to read but don't have the epic scroll.
@DrFerrous
They've changed it to "irregular verbs" now, which makes more sense
The 2023 Nobel Prize in Chemistry is awarded for research on quantum dots. Graphic explainer coming later today!
Getting ready for orientation as students return to campus today (classes start next week). How is this day always about two weeks earlier than I am ready for it to be?

A brief request for the #Chemistry and (formerly?) #ChemTwitter community:

One of my MSc students is researching the communication of #GreenChemistry to students and others, so if you have a few minutes spare, please take their survey here: https://hull.onlinesurveys.ac.uk/communicating-green-chemistry-principles-to-the-public

No identifying data is collected, etc. But it does ask for institution primarily to differentiate who will have been exposed to my green chemistry course this year.

After reading many posts after the #introductions and some of the frustrations of people leaving Mastodon, one of the leading reasons was access to journalists. I've taken @tchambers 's journalist tracker google doc and converted it to the simple followers import format. Edit your profile, select Import/Export->Import, and upload to directly add 1000+ journalists. File here:
