Wow, I learn something new every day. They talk about matrix effects in #AnalyticalChemistry but blood analysis is no doubt full of stuff like this, where taking biotin interferes with... a lot of seemingly unrelated blood tests!

XES Fe Kβ (Kbeta) spectra of Fe oxides (Fe2O3) at low weight percentages in carbon binder (PEG) as low as 0.25 wt. % Fe.
Measurement time of 4 mins per sample, XES is well suited for low elemental concentrations.
