"I’m an Israeli historian. My community is still too silent about the horrible war in Gaza. Over 8 months I’ve closely followed the war, reading >1000 articles and viewing >1000 videos/images of the war from all sides.
My conclusions remain similar, as follows:
Over the past 8 months, Israel has repeatedly massacred Palestinians in Gaza, resulting in the deaths of >37,000 Palestinians, injuries of >85,000 and an additional >10,000 still missing. Most dead (~56%) are women and children.
There is ample evidence for Israel’s indiscriminate and disproportionate attacks throughout the war, as well as many examples for massacres and other killings. A long list of international institutions have harshly criticized Israel’s conduct of the war.
Israel has been causing the death of the civilian population of Gaza. Israel has created famine in Gaza and used it as a weapon of war, resulting in the deaths of dozens of civilians from starvation. Israel created and maintained shortages of water, medicine and electricity. …"

Dude, you can't destroy tiny #Hamas while having them surrounded from land air and sea, how the hell are you going to deal with #Hezbollah who is significantly stronger, better armed and already kicked your ass twice in the past?
Israel is up for a rude awakening of they are stupid enough to invade Lebanon. Unless US and UK come to their rescue, they face casualties and losses like never before.
Of course they can destroyed Lebanon, because the country is unable to buy air defense or having an airforce, but on the ground, war weary demoralized Israeli military can't win against a group who has been training for this since the last invasion and have already destroyed many of multi million dollar radar and air defense systems of Israel.
I don't want to see a war breaking out between these 2 and have no love for Hezbollah or their allies. But as a defence force, they have all the rights to stand up and fight back agains this out of control rogue nation of mad men.

Report: New Evidence Reveals IDF Had Detailed Prior Knowledge of Hamas Plan to Raid Israel
A newly surfaced document reveals that Israel Defense Forces and Israeli intelligence systems had detailed knowledge of Hamas’ plan to raid Israel, including the number of hostages to be taken and specific instructions for their treatment while in captivity.
According to a Monday night report presented by Israel’s public broadcaster, Kan, the document, which is based on information from military intelligence’s 8200 Unit, began circulating on September 19, less than three weeks before the October 7 massacre.
While many Israeli citizens and lawmakers have also demanded additional investigations into the political policies that contributed to October 7, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his coalition members have insisted that those investigations wait until the end of the war in #Gaza.

Also known as the "third rail" of American politics, i.e., any criticism of Israeli policy will always be construed as 'antisemitism" and, whether conservative or liberal, the speaker in question will have his/her political career destroyed by AIPAC--the "Jewish Lobby." I also know a rabbi critical of Israeli policy who AIPAC has labeled a "self hating jew." Go figure...
