Hello Mastodonians (which kind of sounds like Mandalorians),
I'm back after being away for a while... got sucked into giving Twitter another chance... that ain't going so well.
It's finally spring in Northern #NewMexico and the acequias (water ditches) are flowing once again. Gorgeous time of year here... apricot blossoms and green coming up. This is the scene just down the road from me.
Hope all are well!
"It is difficult to speak of or to practice love, friendship, generosity, understanding, or solidarity within a system whose rules, goals, and information streams are geared for lesser human qualities. But we try and we urge you to try. Be patient with yourself and others as you and they confront the difficulty of a changing world."

Of all the projects I've been part of in my life, this is one of the ones of which I'm most proud...co-creating the "Tree of Contemplative Practices" while working at the The Center for Contemplative Mind in Society.
Lisa Wilson and I will use the Tree as a fun tool when we guide "Waking Up to Your Life," an 8-week journey that supports you to start or deepen a #mindfulness practice. We start Jan 9. Interested in learning more or want to join us? Drop me a line in the comments below!
As someone who works with #nonprofit organizations to support their continued thriving, I know how important year-end donations are to keep their essential work going and to support their staff.
Please consider making a donation to your favorite nonprofit. If you need some ideas, here are a few that I highly recommend:
* Partners In Health
* National Alliance for Caregiving
* Honor the Earth

This is like the best news story, EVER. It will remind you of the good that human beings are capable of. Never forget that, especially during these times!
It's behind the NYT paywall but I'm gifting you with it here...
"And so an unlikely holiday weekend began, with the Campagnas welcoming the travelers, along with their driver, as house guests. They became “accidental innkeepers,” said Mr. Campagna, a 40-year-old dentist...."
