Front-end with back-end dalliances. Rage crocheter. Berliner without jam. Ask me about Doctor Who.
By the way, I still think this paragraph I wrote is a pretty good paragraph.
Back in 2008 my wife and I went to London and decided to see who could spot the most obscure celebrity. Crossing Oxford Street I saw an eminent BBC journalist. Without thinking I pretty much shouted "John Simpson, I win crap spot!" Which, of course, he heard. Sorry, John.
Let’s reframe taxes as a monthly subscription service to public utilities so that tech bros will get behind the idea.
A lot of the argument for #Tailwind, as far as I've seen, seems to boil down to "css is just too hard, nobody can ever get this right" and that is just not my experience at all with #CSS. I really can't escape the conclusion (pointed out many times already) that engineers just don't see CSS as valuable/worthwhile, so they don't take the time to learn it, and then they complain that they can't use it effectively.
@mattwilcox I know what you mean. Besides which, you shouldn’t have to announce your medical history or disability to a company to get the service you need.
@mattwilcox Do they ignore instructions to email deaf customers, I wonder?
@cdamian I live in Germany and I think you’re being generous; sometimes its more like the 1970s.
Watching the definition of “boomer” shift from “person born between 1945-1950” to “person older than me whose politics I don’t like” is infuriating to Gen Xers and that’s probably why Millennials are doing it.
Quick reminder: "is this technically feasible" and "is this a good idea" are often two VERY different questions.
@kkarhan @MikeDunnAuthor That’s not unheard of in Berlin, to be honest.
