Hello Lurk and Mastodon.

We take advantage of this first post to introduce the collective.
BBB is a group of 20 people based in Belgium and France.
We will post mainly in French, sometimes in English or both.

In their researchs, BBB dig and twist standards, question licenses and the smoothness of our digital interfaces.
We will post here mainly about our researchs, events and publications.

Next week Wednesday, Leitu Bonnici @leitu will present at letterspace.
19:00 – 21:00 (lecture 19:30)

While letterspace celebrates type and its creative possibilities, we also strive to engage critically with its histories and present-day implications. #Typography reflects and reinforces cultural narratives, power structures, and systems of dominance.

What's the difference between a (broken) sewing machine and a working embroidery machine? Come join us at turtlestitch.org/ten to find out the open hardware plan Paul-Reza Klein and Walter Lunzer have developed. Besides there presentation, the hacked machine, you can see a Dutch team in action which will try to make a new machine during the Fest

@typographica @letterror @kai This list below is probably not correct and still incomplete. But these are likely missing from your overview.

Take Back Mokum, a collection of essays, interviews, illustrations and more, around the theme of squatting and housing in Amsterdam.

The first (and I hope not the last!) book set in my typeface, MD Lórien.

Designed by @janegbers (https://janegbers.info), who has my eternal gratitude for using oldstyle, lining *and* small cap figures in a single project.

@lttrspc

So I did a slide about my name. Very often mispronounced, even in Poland! Tak, tak! 🤓 😩
