Made enough progress on the stabbing that I can roll the coif on a bit. Haven't worked on this in ages so it's nice to get some done.
All the progress pics look the same these days, but such is the way.

(I copied a pattern from a coif at the V&A for this, and wanted to see what it looked like in black and gold).
Ha! try stabbing me now, silly metal logo! I did a web of honeycomb stitches on the inside first (since that was the more hazardous side). The pink stitches are the the back of those. Should be enough to prevent further bloodshed.
I still haven't quite mastered this stitch but it's improving. I'm learning to love the chaos. #visibleMending #embroidery #garmentDisarmament
