Currently working on Starstruck, a rom-com #deckbuilder with glitz and glamour! ✨

Starstruck Steam page: https://store.steampowered.com/app/2225740/Starstruck/utm_source=mastodon

Omg he's my ideal man #otome #LoverPretend

Super stoked that the Mythwrecked demo is now available to play for the first time as part of #LudoNarraCon 2023.

Check it out #IndieDev / #IndieGame fans. Boosts welcome 🙌

Equally, I love the fact that most #otome games have deep plot and character development. There's romance, yes, but also SO MUCH MORE!

That combination is just *chef's kiss*

One thing I love about #otome games is that they allow you to explore different romantic storylines and get a glimpse of what it's like to fall in love in different settings and situations. 🌹💖 ✨

I just backed Imperial Grace on Kickstarter. This #otome game is looking really good!

Released my free #VisualNovel, A Late Night Convo, last week! If you want to read a short, cozy story about #asexuality and being in a comfortable and safe sex-positive relationship, then check it out!

Synopsis: "Unable to sleep, Seo-jun talks to his partner Iris about their relationship and how much he appreciates her. 🖤🩶🤍💜" #IndieDev #GameDev #IndieGame #asexual

Hmmm looks like there are a lot of Starstrucks on Steam. 😅

Do you think we should change the name of our game? #gamedev

He is not the "true route," (we don't have one) but he is very much Robin Hood! #otome #AmareGame #IndieGame

@danielcrocker "I quickly realised that what indies really need is exposure."

This is very true, but indie game coverage from major sites tends to give 99% of the attention to 1% of games - a handful of glossy Kickstarter darlings and Twitch memes. With limited space and promised high production values, how will you avoid this trap?

I would be interested in a publication that is serious about spotlighting niche games and rough gems, but not really in reading about Spelunky in print.

@midnightspire This is an excellent question, and it’s one which we have considered amongst ourselves since first having the idea early last year. Ultimately the goal of Debug is to promote the work of underrepresented indies, whilst also providing familiar content to draw readers in.

Unlike a storefront we’re not reliant on algorithms, and are hand curating what we cover in each issue. If it’s interesting, it will be covered, with smaller devs being prioritised.

@danielcrocker Sounds fun. I am not in the UK, but I'll check it out if it ever makes it to the US.
@danielcrocker this looks awesome. I couldn't find it on the site, but is it possible to subscribe for delivery?
@paul Thank you for the kind words. It will be possible to subscribe in about a week’s time, and the first issue is due for release 7 April.
@danielcrocker Good luck. With Wireframe ending in print, there’s a big gap in the market. Here’s hoping you can fill it.
@craiggrannell Wireframe’s boots will be hard to fill. I was a big fan and own every issue, so it was sad to see it go!

@danielcrocker I was invited to write for issue one and penned a piece on Defender’s explosions, which subsequently morphed into one of the maker columns. I subscribed immediately and had every issue.

Due to the free PDFs, I only kept a few favourites in print. But, man, I’m going to miss the mag dropping through the letterbox every month. I only contributed occasionally, but was always excited when a new issue arrived.

@danielcrocker This sounds great! Will it be available in the UK? How/where do I subscribe?
@steamgirl Hi Nina, we’re based in the UK so it’ll be available here :) Pre-orders should hopefully open next week, but in the meantime we’re allowing people to register their interest. Totally optional of course. https://www.teamdebug.com/magazine

@danielcrocker @steamgirl looks cool I will definitely check it out - teamdebug doesn’t google very well without being wrapped in “”, at least not yet, I hope that doesn’t hurt discover-ability.
@MouseByTheSea @steamgirl You raise a very valid point. The website has only been live for a few days, so this is certainly something we will be working on.
@danielcrocker Can you order from Germany? As others I will miss Wireframe mag and need something to fill the empty space in my shelf :)
@glaskows We are working on the paperwork required to sell to Germany and the EU, but yes we will definitely ensure this is possible :)
