1 January 1926 | A Polish Jew, Leon Weintraub, was born in Łódź.

In Auschwitz from August 1944.
He was transferred to Groß-Rosen, Flossenbürg and Natzweiler-Struthof camps.

He was liberated on 23 April 1945 near Donaueschingen.

He become a doctor.
Today he turns 97.

Short rant.

Southwest Air has cancelled ~70% of its flights in an epic meltdown this holiday season.

Remember, Southwest took $3.7B in federal aid from 2020-21.

It’s CEO got a pay raise to a $9.1M package in 2022.

Yet Southwest employees are working 16 hour shifts & threatened w/termination if they refuse overtime or call in sick.

Socialism for the wealthy. Capitalism for workers.

Stop trusting billionaires. Start holding them accountable. And start protecting workers.

Investors are more worried that the outlook for Tesla’s sales & profit is taking a turn for the worse, as signaled by Tesla offering rare discounts to car buyers. “Tesla clearly is starting to see demand cracks in China and in the US at a time that EV competition is increasing.” AND critics question whether Tesla stock was EVER worth the trillion-dollar valuation it had at the start of 2022.
