Iâve been pushed out of my comfort zone many times during this first year. Iâm not a natural speaker but have come to think that we shouldnât leave the stages of the world to the natural speakers. I didnât know how to write offers to ministries, but Iâm slowly getting the hang of it (happy to leave this to the naturals, though).
It hasnât been an easy year, but a very interesting year professionally, and an important year for public digital infrastructure and #OpenSource. Thanks to those whoâve supported me and us in any way đ«¶

I joined Zentrum Digitale SouverÀnitÀt (@zendis) a year ago, and it's flown by. It's been a complicated, often devastating, year politically, but it's been good being part of an organisation that seeks to counteract the current political climate of cut-throat deal-making with collaboration and #OpenSource technologies.
When I started out, as one of the first couple of employees, we were still waiting for our laptops to arrive. One of my first tasks was to support the #UN #OSPOs for Good conference, organising a welcome reception in NYC from afar (thankfully, the laptops had arrived by then).
