On today's episode of "Love and Refactoring", the mecha editor has been updated to work with the new interface. But hoo boy it's gonna need some extra care to work with the new interface *well*.
The mecha editor was made before the UI stack, and so it manually activates and deactivates widgets by itself. All of that old code should be converted to new style code. It probably works, but it's also probably way more fragile than I'd like, so it's best to bite the bullet and get it done now.

The bartender says, what are you some kinda loop garou?

I have gotten Blender to render a GearHead mecha with the pure color channels required for the color switcher + no bleed between colored regions. I feel mighty... and more than a bit tired. #Gamedev #Blender3d
I've known from the start that the trickiest bit of this refactoring is going to be making sure game events happen in the correct order. Having a queue specifically for narrative events should make that much easier to enforce. Hopefully.
Today's refactoring saga: All the monologues in the game have been converted to the new system. I have come to the conclusion that most of GearHead Caramel's narrative content should be presented through the alert queue. Which makes sense, since the entire point of the queue is to stage info to be delivered to the player in sequence.

Progress Report on GearHead Caramel, or How I Spent My Summer Vacation (in the Hospital)

Pyrrho of Ellis probably had more broken bones than any other Greek philosopher. At the beginning of June I had a tragic yet Clouseauesque walking accident which led to a double compound fracture of the right arm. Thanks to this, I got to spend summer in an air conditioned hospital room and everybody brought me ...
