Food prices are expected to increase in 2026.
PM Carney recently said Canadians must prepare to make "sacrifices" for our economy.
Housing, food, healthcare. So much is already out of reach for so many. We have nothing left to sacrifice.
Instead, maybe grocery executives should make sacrifices for a change.

Professors can't buy a home, yet tuition is out of control.
Continuing care assistants barely earn over min wage, yet retirement homes can force seniors into bankruptcy.
The money we pay seems to not go to the people doing the work.
According to Ontario MPP Christine Hogarth, removing bicycle lanes will make the roads safer for cyclists.
This could not be further from the truth. It is disconcerting that those in power do not care about the truth, and in this case, safety.
