@cam it depends on the play and the character, I think. In one play I wrote a sardonic hospice nurse who's mourning her brother while her friend, mourning the same loss, becomes burnt out; in another, a character with ptsd deals very differently with her grief. It's a really interesting question to think about when developing a character, even if the piece of writing isn't "about" grief.

@beatnikprof very agree. I'd rather get a short and sweet, "not for us, thanks!" than a "we're obsessed with you but we'll never produce you." It is nice to get a more personalized email, but the mass emails to 200+ people that all say, "we loved your work so very much" feels gross to me.

It's so encouraging to speak to former collaborators and find out that they had as excellent a time working with you as you had with them. I've talked to 3 of mine this week and have been overjoyed at the reconnections.

@devxvda I just realized it's hard for me to hear things if there's other intense sensory info in the room, like a strong candle. Im currently in autistic burnout, which I'm sure is what has affected my sensory experiences.
