The strange wonder of being a writer, a creator of worlds, and the thing no one tells you when you're a kid imagining your first characters, is that every character stays with you forever. Mine live in a storyopolis—thousands of buildings with thousands of rooms with thousands of doors behind which every character I've ever created lives. Every single one. Finished or unfinished. Some frozen in time. Like old friends. All with their own story to tell. It's pretty cool. #writing #writerslife

If humans could fly, I think some of us would. But it probably takes the same amount of energy as running. So realistically, I think most of us would end up like pigeons & loiter outside of convenience stores instead of flying across the country.

People are like "why use the #favorite button if it doesn't boost it algorithmically?" and it's like, I don't know about any of you, but it makes me feel happy when someone favorite's something I say.

So from my perspective, you have a button whose sole purpose is that when you press it you could make someone feel a little happy.

Why wouldn't you press that button as much as you can?

Not sure I'm doing this right (reminds me of playing "Big Blue Moon" on the band bus in college), but here's an attempt at a #5ThingsWIP:

1. It's a novel adaptation of one of my plays
2. It's also a reimagining of Lewis Carroll’s most famous work
3. It takes place before, during, and after Alice's famous adventures
4. There is no Alice in my Wonderland
5. It's a story about sisters

@jeremywrites One of the great misunderstandings of TV is how much of it is improv. Not LITERAL improv, but room improv. You make a plan at the beginning of the season, but some part of you understands -- especially in network -- that the plan is going to change, because...life, money, Covid, inspiration. So, while there's no secondary plan there is a plan to make a secondary plan. It's half the fun.

I'm not usually a Christmas-before-December guy, but the Wildlights at the #ColumbusZoo are one of my favorite annual events. We went on members night, and this was the last photo (of many) I took that night as we strolled back to the main gate, and I love how it looks like our boys are walking through a firework forest.

Today is #TransDayofRemembrance when we honor and remember trans lives taken by violence. How horrifying that a deadly attack upon the LGBTQ+ community in Colorado Springs should occur right before this solemn day.
Hate isn’t born in us. It is taught. It must end.
This starts with our political leaders, who must cease their cynical attacks against our community before another attack occurs.
Call out the hate. Remind them of its consequences. Hold them to account.
