A book about teen angst - February 25, 2026 - This is the first book in a series about a high school for paranormal teenagers. Drrrrraaaaamaaa! It's cute, and the author doesn't pull punches just because it's written for young adults, but the tone is still a bit too juvenile for my enjoyment.

West Side Love Story by Priscilla Oliveras has been on my tbr for over a year now, and I am hoping to read it this year. The synopsis make this seem like a Hispanic version of Romeo and Juliet, and it immediately intrigued me.

The Austen Affair by Madeline Bell is a recent addition to my tbr, but the synopsis sounds so intriguing and I can’t wait to see how it goes.

Six Summers to Fall will be the second book that I read from C.W. Farnsworth, and I am hoping it is as good as Left Field Love.

Chapter Book and Young Adult authors can join the wonderful Kate Wenban from Scholastic online on the 28th March for a full day where you will receive feedback on your work in small group sessions, time to work on your manuscripts, followed by a progress session where they will give you further feedback. There is also a discussion panel and a Q&A session.
