The strange wonder of being a writer, a creator of worlds, and the thing no one tells you when you're a kid imagining your first characters, is that every character stays with you forever. Mine live in a storyopolis—thousands of buildings with thousands of rooms with thousands of doors behind which every character I've ever created lives. Every single one. Finished or unfinished. Some frozen in time. Like old friends. All with their own story to tell. It's pretty cool. #writing #writerslife

If humans could fly, I think some of us would. But it probably takes the same amount of energy as running. So realistically, I think most of us would end up like pigeons & loiter outside of convenience stores instead of flying across the country.

@roxiqt I've never once considered the energy expenditure needed for a human to fly like Superman. Comics and movies always make it seem effortless, and now you've unlocked a door in my mind behind which my brain is trying to work out the physics — but ultimately, yeah, I think you nailed the overall reality of what would happen if we could fly, because yeah, if it's like running, I am happy as a pigeon.

People are like "why use the #favorite button if it doesn't boost it algorithmically?" and it's like, I don't know about any of you, but it makes me feel happy when someone favorite's something I say.

So from my perspective, you have a button whose sole purpose is that when you press it you could make someone feel a little happy.

Why wouldn't you press that button as much as you can?

Hana had never backed down from a selfie challenge. An anti-grav thruster malfunction on her Stratospheric Altitude Reenforced Automech suit wasn't going to change that.

"S.A.R.A ," she asked "time to impact?"
"Twenty seconds," her suit replied.
"Begin livepost Ring Cam. This is Hana. I yeeted myself off the stars. Hashtag SpaceJump selfie!"

Hana sticks out her tongue in a wild smile. Her last image, frozen fearless in free fall, later became the most liked selfie in a century.

Not sure I'm doing this right (reminds me of playing "Big Blue Moon" on the band bus in college), but here's an attempt at a #5ThingsWIP:

1. It's a novel adaptation of one of my plays
2. It's also a reimagining of Lewis Carroll’s most famous work
3. It takes place before, during, and after Alice's famous adventures
4. There is no Alice in my Wonderland
5. It's a story about sisters
