I sometimes wonder why #mastodon-social admins keep doing this.

Possibilities include

1. They truly are vile racists aligned with the Israeli supremacists, and their genocide.

2. They are ignorant and underqualified to be moderators.

3, They are compromised by pressure from the German/USA/Israeli government.

Went to check out the venue for my next gallery show and was so pleased to see the building adorned with a #BLM banner and another one for the Embracing Our Differences annual event we have here in town.

This has been my consistent experience living in what looks from the outside to be a very backwards part of the country. Just a reminder that what you see in the news is never the whole story. #Florida

@potterybyosa This is lovely! I once saw a pic of a Methodist church in Florida with a very funny, very pro-trans lives statement on a banner out in front. I reposted the pic on Facebook - and it turns out it was my cousin's church! I thought that maybe it had been photoshopped, but it was the real thing!

I wish I could remember what it said, but what I do remember is that feeling of warmth when I remember there are good people everywhere.

@jkirkendall The gallery is part of a Unitarian Universalist church :) Yes, there are good people everywhere and I also think about how progressive orgs in red states can provide insight and leadership on how to survive without state & federal funding. We’ve been living this reality for some time now.
