This headline is ridiculous. The US is currently cracking down on the people who harvest US tomatoes and sending them to a swamp concentration camp with no representation and due process, and publicly hoping people get eaten by alligators.

My roommates are convinced that our house is haunted.

I’ve lived here for 278 years and I haven’t noticed anything strange.

There are 12 pan-European hiking trails, and four of them do pass through the Netherlands. Three of those meet up next to the town entrance of Hoek van Holland Haven metro. From here, the E2 coming from Galway from Ireland is in conjunction with probably the most famous of French long distance paths, the #GR5 to Nice. After the rain was over, decided to do the first 15 km of ~150 km this route runs in the Netherlands. The route passed through the very lush and green Staelduinsebos, which I completely didn’t expect here.

Pretty much the definition of a concentration camp.

@h_thoreson in the same direction it has gone since its inception. More automation, lead to a more complex/deeper stack. And the top level of that stack becomes easier and easier to use.
Engineers that know a lot of layers will continue to build the core stuff.

But the knowledge needed to build real-word useful products will be smaller and smaller.
And this will lead to a big part of the job market searching for engineers that can learn the business and use automation (AI or whatever comes after) to make software for it.

@h_thoreson @DavidAnson @nocoursewalks why I currently work (until next month) thankfully haven’t demanded more work in less time which has resulted in me just having more free time… this is the way I want it, although I’m sure Corporate America will screw it up for everyone.
