Am I a bit weird to travel 120 km by train and trolleybus to buy something in a store I could have bought online with free delivery?
Maybe, but it is also an excuse to travel by trolleybus again
(zij/haar). Rotterdamse krullenbol. Bewust autoloos, graag met haar wandelstokken op paden in binnen- en buitenland te vinden en fan van reizen met de trein. Ik ben licht onhandig en draag mijn litteken met trots.
(she/her). Curly girl from Rotterdam. Deliberately car-free, can often be found with her trekking poles on trails in and outside the Netherlands and a fan of traveling by train. I am slightly clumsy and wear my scar with pride.
My native language is Dutch, but I do write most of my posts in English. Don’t hesitate to reply in Dutch, English or German, I can read it and will try to write back in your language.

Breng, next week might be the perfect week. Because of it being Low car usage week (Autoluwe week), you can buy a off-peak day ticket for € 1! Valid all day in the weekend, on other days after 9:00. More details on https://www.connexxion.nl/nl/shop/e-tickets/autoluwe-dalurendagkaart

NS Flex: when do you get discount?
On weekdays: your first check-in is before 6:30, after 8:55, before 16:00 or after 18:25, you get discount. Does not matter which operator you are travelling with.
Checking out during peak hours, but checking in again at the same or a different operator in less than 35 minutes? You keep your off-peak discount.
Attention: this also works the other way around: if your first check-in was between 6:30 and 8:55 or between 16:00 and 18:25, and you check-out and in less than 35 minutes checking in again, you will continue to travel without discount.
This does not apply to NS Dal Voordeel on saldo, which most 65+ people still have for the bundle of cheap day tickets.
