#Threads is testing federation for a few selected profiles. I'm now following @mosseri! It's one-way for now, but it's exciting. It's a step towards the interoperable social web that we've been advocating for πŸ™‚
@codinghorror Great to have you here. Curious what you'll think about various Mastodon community debates given your Discourse experience / thinking.

This redditor just showed off their game which is just one main.cpp file and is over 600k lines long.

Now, I’m not saying this is a good pattern to follow, but it worked for him, his game got finished and he’s sold 30k copies on steam. I think he should be proud.

Too many people obsess over implantation details and never ship anything. This is good software!

I hear you guys like large files... I raise 623,000 lines of code. My first ever game project, I was meant to carry on learning how to code properly but I have pretty bad ADHD so I just kept adding features and 8 years later here we are... It's sold over 30k copies on steam though lol

@caffeine I'm trying to exclusively use the Chrome/Google password manager. (ie.. passwords.google.com) with a separate offline store (PasswordSafe) exclusively for 2FA authenticator seeds and other random tidbits. So far so good.
@crawshaw Feel free not to (asking for free labour and all) but I'd love to hear specifics about your GCE bill increase at gteather at google dot com if there's a quick summary you can send.
@dgentry Very helpful. Thank you for the detailed response.
Maybe @dgentry knows πŸ™
Every year during power outage season in the Seattle area, I think that this might be the year to invest in home-energy storage + solar. It really does look like Tesla's Powerwall is probably the best energy storage option for me but yikes. Anyone have experience with alternatives?
@louisgray Thank you for addressing this head on. I'll be referring my friends to this post when they ask me questions.
However for those seeking schadenfreude, a more likely outcome is Twitter making some modest change; and Elon heralding the completion of "some codename" project and making a bunch of unverifiable claims.
