I’ll make a prediction. With all the protocols floating around SocialMediaLand, and more sure to come, ultimately they’ll all be tied together by RSS.

This is Gabby. She is going to join our home this week and very likely add to the roster of the dozen-plus foster pups that have graduated Team Gray in style.

It is odd though. We requested a dog and this appears to be a panther. /cc @darth

Huge news with two technology titans that have made history and fly under the radar -- PARC is joining SRI International, as PARC and its assets are donated by Xerox to SRI.

Wow.

"If we go by the very reliable formula of concluding that the actual result will be the opposite of whatever John Fisher says is happening, there’s a better chance of keeping the A’s in Oakland now that Fisher is announcing plans to move the team than there was while he was theoretically committed to staying."

Kawakami: The A’s, the $500 million Las Vegas ask and John Fisher’s long losing streak

The smart play for the City of Oakland is to disengage with John Fisher and see if the Las Vegas plan fails. And knowing him, it might.

The SpaceX launch was notable for the fact the rocket failed and had to be destroyed and that it was damaged from the launch itself, due to poor planning and naivete from SpaceX leadership.

Preventable and predictable.

Read this post on what damage was expected and how SpaceX skirted the safety rules common at all launches globally. https://blog.esghound.com/p/spacexs-texas-rocket-is-going-to

SpaceX's Texas Rocket is Going To Cause A Lot More Damage Than Anyone Thinks

On Friday, the Federal Aviation Administration issued a license for SpaceX to launch the first orbital test of Starship, the largest rocket in human history, as soon as this Monday, April 17th.

When Twitter started, all people would talk about was Twitter. How to use it, how to find people, whether it would stay up and grow. As it dies, once again, all people use it for is to talk about Twitter -- its owner, and the vaguaries of inside drama.

It's like the Gartner hype cycle for dummies.

When I was 11 years old, I fell in love with the Oakland A's. I taught myself baseball through those late 1980s bashers who made the World Series 3 straight years, winning once.

I was a season ticket holder for years until my kids were born. I was a front page writer for Athletics Nation, which spawned SportsBlogs Nation and Vox Media.

My kids have grown up A's fans.

Tomorrow morning, I'll have to tell them the A's are officially moving to Las Vegas.

Baseball is the best. This sucks.

@darth pupdate! This poochinzo graduated to her forever family yesterday. Moving on up!

She was a delightful visitor. On to the next foster any minute now, I am sure.
